I love love love this. I lost my fancy, big company job in Dec 2008. Since then I have waited tables, freelanced, worked in a portrait studio, worked in a credit union, child care, seasonal work, etc etc. I am currently transcribing evaluations for my dad's office and trying to find another job until I can finally get a big girl job again. My husband is a teacher and he doesn't make much money. He spends his summers mowing lawns for extra cash. We don't complain though. We stress and worry but never ask for handouts. Other than bills the only thing we spend money on is food and gas for our vehicles. I coupon anything I can.

So basically my point is that I am mad that these people are out fussing over this non-sense instead of working (yes even minimum wage counts as a job) like the rest of us. Btw, want some of that "big company wealth"? McDonald's and Walmart are always hiring.

I love what you said, expand your horizons a little. I appreciate this letter, there is not real agenda just a promotion of the entitlement attitude that has overtaken our society.
